Association of systemic immune-inflammation index with long-term all-cause mortality in pancreatic cancer patients after pancreaticoduodenectomy

چکیده
Aim: Systemic immune-inflammation (SII) index may provide more promising prognostic information in patients with cancer surgery. However, to the best of our knowledge, value SII pancreatic who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy has not been studied. Thus, this study aimed evaluate and compare pancreaticoduodenectomy.

Materials Methods: All over 18 years-old that successful due between February 20, 2019 June 30, 2021 at Ankara City Hospital Department General Surgery were included. The main predictor interest was which measured by neutrophil*platelet / lymphocyte count. outcome long-term all-cause mortality.
Results: A total 223 included current study. Multivariable cox regression analysis revealed history congestive heart failure [HR (95%CI): 3.682 (1.140-11.892)], 1.001 (1.001-1.001)] independently associated all cause mortality. accuracy predicting mortality for assessed area under ROC curve = 0.77. higher 1305 found 76% sensitivity 67% specificity Conclusions: results suggest measurement index, an easily available relatively cheap marker, is independent survival after cancer.

Systemic immune-inflammation index, thymidine phosphorylase and survival of localized gastric cancer patients after curative resection
Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII), based on lymphocyte (L), neutrophil (N), and platelet (P) counts, was recently developed and reflects comprehensively the balance of host inflammatory and immune status. We explored its prognostic value in localized gastric cancer (GC) after R0 resection and the potential associations with Thymidine phosphorylase (TYMP), which was reported to increase t...

BACKGROUND Inflammation-based indexes have been used to predict survival and recurrence in cancer patients. Systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) was reported to be associated with prognosis in some malignant tumors. In the present study, we aimed to explore the association between SII and the prognosis of patients with gastric cancer. METHODS We retrospectively analyzed data from 444 gast...

OBJECTIVE Patients with cancer may display elevated levels of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and high-sensitive troponin T (hsTnT) without clinical manifestation of cardiac disease. This study aimed to evaluate circulating cardiovascular hormones and hsTnT and their association with mortality in cancer. METHODS We prospectively enrolled 555 consecutive patients with a primary diagnosis of c...

AIM To investigate the clinical significance of preoperative systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS A retrospective analysis of 1383 cases with CRC was performed following radical surgery. SII was calculated with the formula SII = (P × N)/L, where P, N, and L refer to peripheral platelet, neutrophil, and lymphocyte counts, respectively. The ...
